Currently, there is quite a lot of talk about Pokemin Winds and Pokemon Waves, which were recently announced by Nintendo. This game, which will be the next generation of the mainline Pokemon, is planned to be released in 2027. But many people are happy, especially gamers in Southeast Asia, because this new region will be heavily inspired by Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines.

But apart from the region which is very cool and iconic with its Southeast Asian style, there is one thing (actually three) which is also a topic of conversation, namely the starter that is present in this latest Pokemon game. As usual we get three starter options to choose from as travel companions, all three also have designs which this time seem to focus more on cuteness.
There is Browt who looks like a chick as a Grass type, there is also Pombon who looks like a Pomeranian dog as a Fire type, and finally there is the adorable cute lizard Gecqua as a Water type. The three of them stole a lot of attention and gave rise to many theories.
Some fans theorize that some of these Pokemon will have evolutions inspired by Indonesian culture, Browt could possibly evolve into a Pokemon inspired by Garuda with the typing Grass – Flying or Grass – Dragon. A Pombon with thick fur might be a Barong with the typing Fire – Fairy or Fire – Ghost. Lastly, there is Gecqua which may have been inspired by the house lizard (lizard) and also Komodo which could be typing Water – Poison or Water – Dark.
