Fathu Makkah 20 Ramadhan 8 Hijriyah (1 January 630 AD)

Fathu Makkah is an event of the liberation of the city of Mecca by Muslims from the Quraysh that occurred on the 20th of the 8th year of Ramadan Hijriyah, to coincide with January 1, 630 AD.

Fathu Makkah 20 Ramadan is a conquest at the same time victory, not limited to conquering, but a big victory over the permission of Allah SWT. The Fathu Makkah event was a big event that heaven and the earth watched it.

Al-Qur’an captures the Fathu Makkah event in the letter An Nashr: verses 1-3: When it comes to God’s help and victory. And you see people in God’s religion. Then praise your Lord and ask for forgiveness. Indeed, he is the recipient of repentance.

Fathu Makkah 20 Ramadan is the most important sign from the beginning of a new era of the development of Islam. And the entry of people, flocking, into the lap of Islam. This event also radiates a face that is always shining and the most shining source of inspiration for the whole earth.

Ibn al-Qaiyim described the conquest of Mecca that in it there were messages from Allah SWT. Namely, the biggest conquest through which Allah SWT glorifies His religion, His Messenger, His soldiers, and the believers.

Allah Almighty through the team under the leadership of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ freed the House of Representatives, whose guidance was sought by everyone. Even from people who do not believe and people who do not believe.

Fathu Makkah and Surah An Nashr

The Fathu Makkah event on 20 Ramadan was one of 3 (three) important events in the month of Ramadan besides the Badr War and Downside from the Revelation of Al -Qur’an or Nuzulul Qur’an. However, Muslims are more focused on warning and commemorating the Nuzulul Qur’an events.

An Nashr’s letter reported a brilliant victory. Confirms the quality of the leadership of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. While on the other hand, he seemed to be a farewell bell, marking the end of the propaganda of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.

This letter An Nashr also teaches about the creed and beliefs for Muslims. That true victory comes from Allah SWT. And as Muslims, we must always be in a state of tawadhu ‘(humble) before Him. And no less urgent to be a reflection, this letter An Nashr reflects the final stage of the prophetic mission of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
