Valve quietly increased the price of the 1TB OLED Steam Deck to 949 US dollars or around 16.9 million rupiah and the 512GB variant to 789 US dollars or around 14 million rupiah. This uses the rupiah exchange rate as of May 28, 2026, which is around 17,800 rupiah per US dollar from market projections.

The 1TB OLED Steam Deck costs 949 US dollars or around 16.9 million rupiah, up from the initial price of 649 US dollars which used to be around 11.5 million rupiah. So you now pay around 300 US dollars more or an increase of around 5.4 million rupiah compared to buying when there was last stock. This increase is quite crazy because it is up almost 46 percent from the initial price. The 512GB variant also increased from 549 US dollars to 789 US dollars, an increase of around 44 percent or around 4.3 million rupiah.
Valve has also increased prices in the UK with 1TB now £779 or around 15.3 million rupiah and 512GB 649 pounds sterling or around 12.7 million rupiah.
What’s disappointing is that the Steam Deck was previously promoted as a powerful handheld but is still affordable for PC gamers who want to play casually in bed or on the go. Now the 1TB OLED Steam Deck is only 50 US dollars or around 890 thousand rupiah from the more premium ROG Xbox Ally The Steam Deck’s internals still use the same AMD chipset without a new generation refresh, so you pay almost the same as a premium portable like the Xbox Ally X which can boost much higher fps with the newer Ryzen Z2 Extreme APU.

If you don’t have a Steam Deck and your budget is under 800 US dollars or around 14.2 million rupiah, your chances of entering the handheld ecosystem are getting smaller because players who don’t have at least 800 dollars to spend, won’t enjoy the wonders of modern handheld gaming this year.
This increase is mainly due to rising costs of components such as RAM and storage because the industry is racing to meet data center needs for AI. Valve is usually good at communicating strategic decisions, so there will likely be a blog post discussing this increase. But words cannot mend the hearts of disappointed people who plan to buy a portable at its original price.
Meanwhile, what makes you even more worried is the fate of the Steam Machine, which will be more expensive than the Deck when it finally arrives. The price of this new handheld signals that the Steam Machine will probably be at least 1,000 dollars or around 17.8 million rupiah. If that happens, I’m afraid this rival console will fail to take off and it could be a disaster for the biggest gaming hardware launch in 2026.
PakarPBN
A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.
In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.
The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
