March is a very busy period with various big game releases, but players’ attention has not yet shifted from Resident Evil Requiem which was launched at the end of February. In fact, this game continues to be a hot topic of discussion in the community, until it managed to occupy second place in the user score ranking on Metacritic. Now, Capcom has finally revealed its official sales figures—and the results far exceeded expectations.
Through an official press release dated March 16 signed by Haruhiro Tsujimoto, Capcom confirmed that Resident Evil Requiem had reached more than six million unit sales across platforms. This figure includes both digital and physical distribution, and most strikingly, this achievement was achieved in a very short time. In fact, Capcom called it a new record in the history of the Resident Evil franchise, making it the game with the fastest sales growth ever in the series.
For comparison, the two previous series, namely Resident Evil 7: Biohazard and Resident Evil Village, respectively recorded total sales of around 16.4 million and 13.5 million copies since their launch in 2017 and 2021. Meanwhile, the modern remake line also showed no less impressive performance, with Resident Evil 2 reaching 16.8 million units, Resident Evil 3 at 10.9 million, and Resident Evil 4 which has reached 12.2 million units. However, what makes Requiem feel special is the speed at which it reached six million, even before a full month since its release.
This success certainly strengthens Resident Evil’s position as one of the most consistent survival horror franchises in the modern gaming industry. With performance like this, it’s no surprise that Capcom will continue to expand the series, both through new titles and remakes of untouched classic games.
In the same statement, Capcom also emphasized that support for Resident Evil Requiem would not stop. They have prepared a variety of additional content as well as continuous updates to keep the gaming experience fresh. Although there are no specific details yet, this signal is enough to make players speculate about the upcoming DLC, including the possibility of exploring new characters and deepening the stories of existing characters.

Interestingly, discussions in the community today are not just focused on gameplay or story expansion, but also on more personal narrative aspects. One of the topics that has been widely discussed is Leon S. Kennedy’s personal life in recent years, which still remains a lot of mystery and has sparked the curiosity of fans.

Apart from sales achievements, Capcom also reminded that this year is a special moment for the Resident Evil franchise. On March 22, this series will celebrate its 30th anniversary. To celebrate, Capcom has prepared a series of interesting events, including a collaboration with Universal Studios Japan which will take place in 2026, as well as orchestra concerts which will be held in Japan, the United States and Europe.
Interestingly, the official statement also signals that there are still other plans that have not been announced to the public. This has certainly sparked further speculation, including the possible announcement of a new remake of the classic Resident Evil series next. With momentum at its peak, Capcom seems ready to continue pushing this franchise to even higher levels.
PakarPBN
A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.
In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.
The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
