Dune: Awakening receives a fresh, new endgame in its biggest update yet.

Chapter 3 aims to fulfill one of the most popular player requests: more content, gameplay, and a way to progress in the endgame.

Oslo, Norway – February 3, 2025 – Developer and publisher Funcom is proud to announce the biggest free update ever Dune: Awakeningg, Dune: Awakening, one of Steam’s highest-grossing new releases of 2025is LIVE along with paid ones Robbers from the Broken Lands DLCs. The open world survival game inspired by Frank Herbert’s Dune and the hit blockbuster franchise from Denis Villeneuve and Legendary Entertainment, just got bigger and better.

Chapter 3 Free Update: Bigger and Better Endgame

Chapter 3 delivers one of the most requested improvements: a bigger and better endgame. Once players reach Tier 6, progression has now been extended. Chapter 3 introduces a new system that allows players to continue developing their powers, perfecting their builds, and defining their roles. Introducing returning player resource packs designed to support inactive players re-entering the game. Eligible players who have been absent for a certain period of time will receive resource packs tailored to their progress in the Research tree, ensuring a smoother and more balanced return to play.

• Two new weapons and a rework

Two new weapons have been added: Pyrocket and Dual Blades. Rapier has been completely reworked.

• New Story Chapter

For players looking to continue the journey, Chapter 3 picks up right where Chapter 2 left off, bringing hours of new story that reunites players with old allies.

Raiders of the Broken Lands Paid DLC: More Stuff to Build

Launching today alongside the free Chapter 3 update Robbers from the Broken Landsincluded at no additional cost with the Season Pass. This DLC answers one of the biggest player requests: more things to develop. It adds a new building set containing 74 building pieces and 17 decorations, all inspired by Imperium Smugglers, plus a special stealth suit set, light and heavy armor sets, weapon variants, examples, and emotes.

Dune: Awakening Chapter 3 is available for free, and Robbers from Boken Country The DLC can be purchased for $9.99 or as part of the Season Pass ($24.99/€24.99).
