Digital Extremes revealed new Warframe story missions and Soulframe monster collecting at PAX East 2025

Digital Extremes showed off new content for their online action game Warframe And Soul Frame during their annual PAX East presentation. The studio revealed upcoming story missions, quality of life improvements, and new features for both titles.

New content and story features are coming Warframe

warframe The next major update, Isleweaver, launches in June 2025. This free update returns players to the Kingdom of Duviri to face Major Rusalka in a new storyline connected to current events in Warframe: 1999. The update also introduces a traditional version Warframe gameplay to The Paradox Tasknow allows players to use the Warframe of their choice in battle.

Players can look forward to unlocking Oraxia, the game’s 61st Warframe, featuring spider-themed aesthetics and abilities. “Players have been screaming from the mountaintops for us to make ‘Spiderframe’ for years, and Oraxia is officially here!” said Warframe creative director Rebecca Ford during the stream.

The Yareli Prime premium frame will also join the list on May 21, offering a higher edition water-based Warframe. The presentation also revealed new Heirloom cosmetic skins for the Valkyr and Vauban frames.

Several quality of life improvements are in development, including rebalancing of crafting costs for Rhino Warframe, adjustment of Railjack difficulty for New Warand an efficient “golden path” progression system aimed at new players. This change improves the game’s accessibility for new players while simplifying access to current content such as Warframe:1999.

Soul Frame development progress

The upcoming fantasy action RPG from Digital Extremes Soul Frame continuing closed pre-alpha testing with select players via Introduction to the Soul Framework. The studio demonstrated new open world gameplay and revealed how players will interact with rival factions in the game.
