Netflix has finally entered the world of football gaming in the most surprising way possible. FIFA World Cup: Launch Edition releases exclusively on Netflix Games on June 11, 2026, coinciding with the actual opening of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. This game is the first FIFA game since the legendary split with EA Sports which lasted 4 years. EA and FIFA ended in 2022 after conflicts over licensing and business models, and EA eventually changed its name to EA Sports FC.

Now FIFA is back with an unusual new partner. They chose Netflix Games and development studio Delphi Interactive as the main partners. This is really a big change from the way FIFA usually releases games. This game is designed as an arcade-style football game that is easier for beginners. The main feature is that the smartphone can be used as a controller, so you don’t need to buy an expensive game controller.
This game has 48 teams and 1,248 players, which is smaller than EA’s FIFA which has 700+ teams and 17,000+ players. But the main attraction is the price. This game is free for all Netflix members, so you only need to have a Netflix subscription and a cellphone. No need to buy games for IDR 700,000 to 1.5 million like EA Sports FC. Released in 20+ countries including Indonesia, UK, France, Brazil and Australia.
The project is led by the former FOX Engine tech mastermind from Metal Gear Solid, which is adding huge hype among hardcore gamers. This shows that FIFA wants quality games even with a simplified concept. But there is a big controversy that has the gamer community worried. Studio Delphi Interactive claims they use a model that reduces title risk and lowers development costs. Many assumed this meant using generative AI for game development and that made many people angry.

Gianni Infantino, President of FIFA, said FIFA is very happy to partner with Netflix Games and Delphi Interactive. But initial reviews are still thin and some reviewers say the game is pick-up-and-play but too simple for EA’s die-hard FIFA fans.
If you are a long-time EA FIFA gamer, will you try this Netflix game or keep playing EA Sports FC 25? This is really a big ask because this game is not a competitive game like EA’s previous FIFA. But for FIFA fans who have waited 4 years, this is still good news that the FIFA name is returning to the gaming world. This game is more of a simplified soccer simulation for beginners and casual gamers.
What is clear, this is an important moment in the history of the game of football. FIFA is back but with a very different face. Is this the right direction for the future of FIFA games or is it just an experiment that will fail. Let’s wait for the full review and whether gamers will receive this game well.

A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.
In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.
The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
